As they approach completion of the course, every DEM student must carry out work that involves challenge, methodology and autonomy similar to those they will encounter in the exercise of their profession. The theme of the Undergraduate Course Completion Work must be related to the concepts presented during the Mechanical Engineering course or their expansion.
The Course Completion Work must be developed over two semesters, as the student must take two subjects to be able to complete the course: ENG1148 – Undergraduate Project in Mechanical Engineering I (1 credit), in which the student chooses the advisor according to the area in which he wishes to develop his work and submits a Work Proposal that will be analyzed by the NDE; ENG1149 – Undergraduate Project in Mechanical Engineering II (3 credits), in which the student develops the topic chosen in the discipline ENG1148 and presents a final report and makes a presentation to an examining board.
See the rules for carrying out the Mechanical Engineering Undergraduate Final Project.
The report of undergraduate course conclusion works must follow the rules of Theses and Dissertations: https://www.puc-rio.br/ensinopesq/ccpg/apresentacao_ted.html
