Supervised Internship
Taking advantage of the Supervised Internship in Mechanical Engineering (ENG1158) takes place in two stages. The deadlines for submitting the documents necessary for acceptance are determined by the teacher responsible for the subject at the beginning of the academic period and are informed to students via Moodle.
Documents submitted after the deadlines may lead to failure in the course.
Only internship hours completed after completing 160 credits, it is the prerequisite for the discipline.
(1) Firstly, the student needs to fill out a form directly in Moodle, with information about the company and a brief summary of the activities they will carry out.
(2) In the second stage, the student must submit the four documents listed in the table below:

These documents are also evaluated by the NDE of the Mechanical Engineering course.
Incomplete shipments will not be considered.
In the internship report, the student must:
(i) Explain the area of the company where you interned and describe in which context / sub-area you worked;
(ii) Describe and exemplify the activities you carried out during the internship;
(iii) Present the benefits achieved with your work;
(iv) Show what you learned and what difficulties you found.
The script that must be used to prepare supervised internship reports is:
(1) Company presentation (maximum 2 pages);
(2) Internship objectives (maximum 1 page);
(3) Activities carried out;
(4) Difficulties found;
(5) Knowledge used from the Mechanical Engineering course;
(6) Contribution to the company;
(7) Perspectives (maximum one page)
