The aim of the microcomputing laboratories is to provide undergraduate and postgraduate students with PC-standard microcomputers. These laboratories provide students with a computer infrastructure to support their teaching and research activities, as well as helping them to develop a “computer culture”. The computers are equipped with a variety of programs used to practice the course subjects, such as Word, Excel, Matlab, Ansys, Fluent, Fortran and others. In addition to the specific computer labs, students can also use the computers of the research groups coordinated by DEM professors, which are available in the department’s labs.
