The Advanced Computing Laboratory consists of a network of microcomputers and printers. This network is connected to the university’s computer center (RDC) and the Internet. All the professors, laboratories and study rooms for postgraduate students are connected to the same network and can use the Advanced Computing Laboratory’s resources remotely. Its creation was funded by CAPES, CNPq, FAPERJ and FINEP. Since then, the laboratory has been periodically updated to ensure that its machines are up to date.
